About the Friends of Community Hospital of Staunton Foundation
The Friends of Community Hospital of Staunton Foundation encourages charitable gifts that support and advance the quality of healthcare provided by Community Hospital of Staunton. As a not-for-profit, tax-exempt philanthropic corporation, the Foundation allocates funds for capital projects and programs for Community Hospital of Staunton as they provide and promote excellence in healthcare and wellness services in partnership with the communities they serve.
Since January 25, 1993, the Friends of Community Hospital of Staunton Foundation has worked to help support the needs of the hospital and the community it serves. Each new service and every expansion the hospital has made have been in direct response to the community’s health needs. Some of the additions include capital campaign contributions for the 2016 building expansion, a mammography suite remodel in 2021, a Kore Balance machine for the physical therapy department in 2022, and a bariatric bed for the transitional care unit in 2024. Each and every gift and donation to the Friends of Community Hospital of Staunton Foundation acknowledges the importance of preserving and enhancing the health status of our community.

Friends of Community Hospital Foundation Fundraiser Events
In order to raise funds for the Foundation to support Community Hospital of Staunton’s capital projects and programs and to engage with our community, we hold multiple fundraiser events throughout the year. These events raise funds and provide our community an opportunity to come together and support the Community Hospital of Staunton’s mission of delivering exceptional healthcare.
